Melissa marries non-showbiz boyfriend

MANILA, Philippines - ‘I have finally found the man I will love and who will love me forever and ever,’ said Melissa Mendez who marked her 48th birthday yesterday by exchanging ‘I do’s’ with her boyfriend (whom she identified only by his first name, Eric) of more than one year, at a Christian garden wedding at Blue Gardens, Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City. Like Melissa (who has a few), Eric (who’s employed by a multinational company) has a love child but never been married. ‘I’ve been waiting for a long time for Mr. Right,’ said Melissa who has had a few failed romances with showbiz guys. ‘It was worth it.’
