Tears For Fears back at Big Dome Aug. 10, 11
Manila, Philippines - Tears for Fears (Curt Smith, top left, and Roland Orzabal), the pop rock duo whose stirring and powerful sound was behind a string of hits that helped transform mainstream pop and rock music in the 1980s, is coming back for a concert tour that will kick off with a two-night performance on Aug. 10 and 11 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Dubbed as Tears for Fears Live in Manila 2012!, the three-date concert series to be mounted by Ovation Productions will also take the group to Cebu City for a third and final show on Aug. 12 at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino.
The Big Dome concerts will also feature the voice of Fra Lippo Lippi through its long-time vocalist Per Sorensen (photo above) who will perform its great hits.
The return engagement of the popular English pop rock band will reunite the tandem of Smith and Orzabal with millions of Filipino fans more than two years after its successful debut concert here also at the Big Dome.
On the other hand, Sorensen has been the vocalist since 1983 of Fra Lippo Lippi, a New Wave band from Norway which gained fame for its ’80s hits Shouldn’t Have To Be Like That, Everytime I See You and Light And Shade.
