QC Coun. Alfred Vargas leads MEASA opening

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Quezon City second district councilor Alfred Vargas led the ribbon-cutting rites of the newly-built Metropolitan Enhancement Academy of Southeast Asia (MEASA) culinary school in Aurora Blvd., Cubao, Quezon City last June 23.

Alfred, himself a businessman and entrepreneur, believes that establishing your own business and doing it right can give a person the most financial freedom and progress.

The culinary school, owned by Maria Theresa Mea, offers Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastry in certificate courses. The school is now accepting students for both courses. It formally opened its doors to the public last June 25.

MEASA’s teaching force is being led by Chef Reynaldo Nalzarro who also had stints as a top chef in Beijing, China and the US.

Mea said their classrooms are built for the students’ utmost convenience and their teaching equipment come at par with the best in the world. The school is also built with a coffee lounge, a reception area, a bar, kitchen laboratory and a hotel room — all for the use of the students.

For the opening month, the TESDA-accredited school is giving away 25 percent discount to those who will avail of any of the courses offered.

MEASA is located at the fourth floor, 819 Lantana St., cor. Aurora Blvd., Cubao, Quezon City, across Partas bus terminal. For details, call 966-3482 and 0917-8158377, 0918-9431368 and 0922-8719936.
