Maricel Laxa launches new book

MANILA, Philippines - Actress, children’s literature writer and Philips Avent endorser Maricel Laxa recently launched her children’s book Kuya Na Si Bunso at the Glorietta 5 Activity Center in Makati City.

The book tells the story of welcoming a new child in the home. According to Maricel, the story was inspired by her child Benjamin who had questions about no longer being the youngest after learning there is a new baby on the way. “It’s a very special book because I put my heart into it, (along with) the feelings of Benjamin and the welcoming of (our new baby) Solana,” Maricel said.

Maricel is the new brand ambassador of Philips Avent, which offers complete mother and child care products from pregnancy to playground. The Avent line includes breast pumps, baby monitors and baby accessories. Maricel has five kids with husband Anthony Pangilinan.
