Life & Style pays tribute to dads

MANILA, Philippines - Father’s Day is observed every third Sunday of June and a special tribute to dads will be presented on GMA News TV’s Life & Style With Gandang Ricky Reyes on June 16, 10 a.m.

Guesting on the show is his Holiness Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje from India (in photo with host-producer Ricky Reyes) who will share some tips and perspective on how to be a successful head of a happy and peaceful clan.

Former child actor Jiro Manio graces the show and relates the mixed emotions he experiences as a young father (he became one at the age of 15). Jiro is the youngest FAMAS Best Actor awardee for Magnifico.

Also featured on the show is a “JejeDad” who takes time to be a cool dad as he joins his children in sports, dresses hip like them and accompanies his brood to fastfood joints of their choice during weekends.

Introduced on the show is lawyer Erik Mallonga is well-loved by the streetchildren he fosters after they are abandoned by biological parents. One cannot help but admire this kindhearted lawyer who loves and takes care of the unfortunate homeless kids like his own.
