Jamie continues to inspire through music
MANILA, Philippines - Jamie Rivera continues to do what she does best — to inspire people with her gift of music. Her latest release Inspirations, produced by Star Records, was recently awarded a Gold Record Award for its outstanding sales.
“I am just so thankful that, at this day and age of piracy, people still buy my albums. In my own little way, I still can give people some inspiration,” the singer says. “This award gives me a reminder that I am where He placed me to be. I am just happy to be doing His will for me.”
Dubbed as Inspirational Diva, Jamie started as a pop singer then became Kim of the hit international musical Miss Saigon. These past years, however, she has successfully brought inspirational music to the public.
Recently, she recorded the new jingle of Catholic radio station Veritas 846, which she performed earlier this month at the Cuneta Astrodome.
Awards have also come her way the past months as the Catholic Mass Media Awards bestowed upon her album Inspirations the Best Inspirational Album and her single Sa‘Yo Lamang the Best Inspirational Song. The latter was also awarded Best Inspirational Song at the Awit Awards.
“I love what I do and I am thankful that people still appreciate it,” says Jamie. “I hope people will continue supporting me.”
