Amb. Cabangon Chua at UE Knights gathering

MANILA, Philippines - The induction ceremony for the newly-elected board of trustees and officers of the UE Knights, Inc. (UEKI), which will be held today at the Manila Grand Opera Hotel, sets the tone for the UEKI’s major plan of actions and programs envisioned by the new leadership. Ambassador Antonio Cabangon Chua (photo) is the guest of honor and speaker. He is ALC Group of Companies chairman emeritus and founder.

Incoming UEKI National Commander Commodore Anthony Que, PCRGA, says, “We will make the event memorable with free entrance and dinner; however, voluntary contributions in cash or in kind for the raffle prizes are welcome.”

Anthony with UEKI Secretary General Renato Chan and outgoing UEKI National Commander Antonio Cua Jr., who guested on UNTV’s Police and Other Matters, last April 27 episode titled UE Knights, hosted by UE alumni lawyers Lucas Managuelod and Wilhelm Soriano, announced that the UEKI will form a foundation to sponsor scholarships for deserving and underprivileged students who intend to enroll in UE Manila and Caloocan campuses.

Inducting officer, P/Director Gil Meneses of the PNP’s Civil Security Group, will swear in the UEKI Board of Trustees and Officers, comprised by chairman Augustus Diaz, vice chairman Lysias Cabusao, trustees Roberto Calinisan, Ferdinando Calugtong, Enrique Atanacio and Marlon Catan, Anthony, first vice commander Amando Melo Jr., second vice commander Arsenio Torres Jr., third vice commander Leo Gaviola, national adjutant Cornelio Marcelino, national treasurer Evangeline Albano, vice treasurer Ma. Teresa Macaraeg, national auditor Danilo Mendez, PRO Roderick Natanauan, plans and programs committee chair R. L. Calinisan.

The appointed officers to enhance the UEKI operations are special assistant to the national commander Wilhelm Soriano, national business manager Elton See Tan, vice business manager Lilia Rioflorido, vice auditor Crispin Rivera Jr., judge advocate Lucas Managuelod, vice PRO Oscar Abundo, cadet affairs committee chair Amorlito Guevara, ways and means committee chair Ernesto. Chua C.K. and membership committee vice chair Emmanuel de Guzman. The council of advisers included Cezar Quiambao, Dioscoro Yoro Jr., Miguel Sol, Rodolfo Palattao and Antonio.
