Meet the earth-friendly beauties

MANILA, Philippines - The candidates in the 2012 Miss Philippines-Earth were presented to the media last April 11 at the open-air Music Hall of SM Mall of Asia (MOA).

The grand coronation night will be held on May 27, 7 p.m. at the SM MOA Center Stage (to be aired live by ABS-CBN), but already there are early favorites like (right, from left) Kristina Cassandra Buac of Zamboanga City, Roxanne Corluy of Belgium and Kathleen Subijano of Muntinlupa City.

The winners will succeed reigning queens (far right, from left) Michelle Gavagan (Miss Philippines-Earth Fire), Jonavi Quiray (Air), Athena Mae Imperial (Miss Phlippines-Earth), Murielle Orais (Water) and Tarhata Shari Rico (Eco-Tourism).
