A promise ring for Shamcey

Lloyd Lee compares his girlfriend Shamcey Supsup to Hanna Montana who has the best of both worlds. “She does not forget where she comes from. Napakasimpleng tao at hindi mahirap mahalin.”

Shamcey has been going steady with Lloyd and has in fact, received a promise ring from him. “We were at the Shang (Edsa) and we were looking at some rings. Parati niya kasi akong binibiro. Sabi niya, ‘gusto mo na talaga na parang engaged tayo? Wala ka pa namang binibigay na singsing sa akin.’ Then I surprised her. She thought all the while that we would be looking for a ring. When we arrived at the parking lot, dun ko na sinabi na parang ikaw na talaga, ito na oh. Di ba ang engagement, usually one-year ang gap sa marriage? We are not getting married yet, so I thought of giving her the ring. And I promised her na hindi na talaga ako titingin sa iba, siya na lang talaga for me,” said Lloyd.

Shamcey and Lloyd met on Shamcey’s birthday. She invited Lloyd’s cousin (who was also a Bb. Pilipinas candidate) to her birthday celebration. “Since kasama ang pinsan ko, nabitbit na ako.”

The meeting was casual. Lloyd didn’t expect he would ever pursue Shamcey’s heart. He didn’t even get her number when they met. Facebook paved the way for more conversations. “The next day, when I had the chance to open my Facebook, we started chatting. The next day, she texted me. Actually dun na ako nagka-interes sa kanya,” revealed Lloyd.

He was impressed with Shamcey. She once sent him a text message that she was on her way to Makati from Cainta and was riding in an FX. “Sabi ko, Bb. Pilipinas pwede pa rin mag-FX.”

Like most women, Shamcey is “matampuhin.” “Nagtatampo siya if I don’t get to reply her texts fast. She is not different from other girls. She also gets jealous when she learns you are with female officemates or when you tell her about the past.”

He and Shamcey send at least 40 messages to each other every day and spend six hours talking on the phone. “She has all the qualities of a woman I am looking for. Siya yong tipong perfect partner ng isang lalaki.”

Lloyd and Shamcey make a perfect universe.
