Chef Jeremy heats up Vigan, Ilocos Sur, in Chef vs. Mom

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Summer has officially hit the country and it means that road-trip season is here once again. Gather your family and friends to visit the country’s breath-taking destinations, like what Chef Jeremy and Mommy Lalie did for the latest episode of Chef vs. Mom. Catch Dole’s very own Chef Jeremy and his Mommy Lalie as they visit the historical and UNESCO World Heritage Site, Vigan Ilocos Sur, for the first stop of their food adventure in the Ilocos region.

After battling it off in the dessert showdown last week featuring Dole’s Apple Cinnamon Fruit Crisps, the food-loving mother and son duo will exhibit their cooking skills as they try to put a twist on native Ilocano dishes. Witness as they try their own take on the classic Igado, using Dole Crushed Pineapples. Will the sweet accent provided by the crushed pineapples go well with the savoury Igado? Will their version of the native Ilocano dish stand well with the taste buds of the certified Ilocano panel of judges composed of former Vice Governor Jerry Singson, Caoayan Mayor Germy Singson and Vigan Councilor Randy Singson? Find the answers to these questions yourself today at 2:30 p.m. on AksyonTV and learn how to cook the two versions of the Ilocano favorite.
