'Bahagsketball' & Pinoy Einsteins in Kapuso Mo

-

MANILA, Philippines - It’s everything Pinoy in tomorrow’s episode of GMA 7’s Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho and first up is the “bahagsketball” players of Mountain Province. The Philippines is a basketball-crazy country. But during the recently-concluded Ayyoweng di Lambak ed Tadian Festival, what can be considered as an all-American sport, got a native twist as Igorots donned traditional loin cloths or bahag while playing basketball. Women also had their share of fun as they wore the conventional tapis during a game of volleyball.

From the highlands of Tadian, culture and excitement continue to abound in the Pintados Festival in Iloilo. When Spanish colonists reached Iloilo, they came across natives donning distinctive tattoos all over their bodies. Watch as Ilonggos share the age-old tradition to their pet carabaos in vibrant colored paints for the festival.

Get to meet real-life “Pinoy Einsteins” in the likes of the Computer Engineering students of Mapua Institute of Technology who invented the Braille Cellphone and the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering students of the University of the Philippines who came up with a hybrid car.

Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho airs Saturdays after Kapuso Movienight.
