More fun in Greenhills
MANILA, Philippines - There is an expected increase in tourist arrivals with the government now pitching a new tourism slogan “It’s more fun in the Philippines.” The tourist arrivals rose from 3.52 million in 2010 to 3.917 million in 2011, an increase of 11 percent.
Pres. Noynoy Aquino said his government aimed to bring in 10 million tourists until 2016.
There are many reasons why the Philippines can attract more tourists. They are attracted because of world-class resorts and beaches, beautiful sceneries, historical and cultural landmarks, hospitable people who can speak English. Also the Philippines, the only Christian country in Asia, has festivals reflecting its religion and culture.
Another reason is the country offers world-class products and goods, tropical fruits, excellent cuisine and big shopping malls.
To have a glimpse of Filipino products and to enjoy shopping, tourists should visit Greenhills Shopping Complex during the 19th National Furniture & Furnishing and Fashion Festival to be held from March 16 to April 9.
Greenhills has a department store carrying the latest local and imported brands, beauty shops, newly-revived Music Museum, a vibrant food strip offering choices of restaurants, a badminton court, multi-level parking spaces and business establishments.
