Raffles Design Institute hosts image forum
MANILA, Philippines - Raffles Design Institute Manila (RDIM) hosted a forum on image consulting and the latest in beauty and treatments at its campus in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
The activity is part of RDIM’s ongoing efforts to collaborate with industry experts to create awareness about the importance of good design and to help enhance the standard of design education in the country.
Over 150 participants from the image consulting, fashion, beauty, public relations and communications industries attended the forum to learn more about the importance of image and how to harness it to achieve success in both a person’s professional and business life.
RDIM is a subsidiary of RafflesEducationCorp. (REC), the largest private education group in the Asia-Pacific region, which has 38 colleges in 35 cities across 14 countries including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, China and the Philippines.
The Association of Image Consultants International (AICI) conducted the forum with Dr. Vicki Belo, AICI president and fashion designer Delby Bragais, and image consultant and former District Governor of Toastmasters Dina Loomis as resource speakers.
Dr. Belo shared with participants the latest procedures that can help Filipinos enhance their physical appearance and self-confidence.
Loomis, on the other hand, talked about The Art and Science of Image and emphasized that looking good affects how a person feels towards herself, her work, her family and friends and her community.
“When you look good, you feel good, and because of that, you do your life good. It affects even the way you work,” Loomis stressed.
In her Increase Your Personal Impact Through Make-Overs, Delby highlighted the importance of making an impact with clothes by developing your own personal style and setting yourself apart from the rest.
