TV5 launches newest program Insider

MANILA, Philippines - Hosted by broadcast journalists, the news and information program takes a much-closer look at the real stories behind different events, places, persons and institutions as the hosts subject themselves to the situation.

Insider will feature one-on-one interviews with the people concerned and in-depth “fly-on-the-wall” research that gives viewers a better understanding of the emotions underneath the situation.

For tonight’s pilot episode, Cherie Mercado (photo) heads to the meatpacking district and the male-dominated industry of butchery. Join the team as Cherie explores the ins and outs of slaughterhouses as blood spattered on her shirt tells its own story.

Joining her are Luchi Cruz-Valdez, Raffy Tulfo, Cheryl Cosim, Paolo Bediones, Erwin Tulfo, Mike Templo, Martin Andanar and Lourd de Veyra. They will take turns every week getting inside and getting out of their comfort zones.

The show will air every Thursday night at 10:15 right after P.S. I Love You. There is also a one-hour Producer’s Cut at 7:30 p.m. on Aksyon TV.
