Announcement of Oscar 2012 bets on Velvet

MANILA, Philippines - After her Oscar nomination as an outstanding lead actress for the movie Winter’s Bone last year, Jennifer Lawrence embarks on a new stint, as she will announce the nominees of the much-awaited 84th Academy Awards, together with Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) president Tom Sherak.

Velvet (SkyCable Ch. 53), the home of the biggest red carpet events, takes pride in airing the live announcement of nominations in a special live feed tonight at 9:30.

Lawrence and Sherak are set to reveal the nominees of the 10 major categories out of a total of 24 at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills. Hundreds of journalists from all over the world are expected to cover this Oscar primer.
