Starry line-up in Letterman show
MANILA, Philippines - Iron Man leads the charge for David Letterman’s guests this week as Robert Downey Jr. shares his new project as three comics also drop by to bring us the funnies as Will Arnett, Tina Fey and Kristen Bell grace the Ed Sullivan Theatre. Then, well-respected journalist Brian Williams lets us in on his latest endeavor, Rock Centre.
Robert Jr., explained how the new Cameron Crowe movie We Bought a Zoo is actually a lot like his own life on Jan. 3 as he apparently owns a farm with a few interesting animals: A bunch of alpaca and some horses that Jamie Foxx gave him. Then, Rooney Mara reveals her secret behind getting the central role in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. She got really drunk before her audition.
The irrepressibly funny Will Arnett drops on Jan. 4 to promote The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, which will return with another run of six episodes this year. Then, get a kick out of hearing from Comedy’s lovable “Queen of Mean,” Lisa Lampanelli. To celebrate the release of its album Let’s Go Eat The Factory, Guided By Voices will also be performing.
Brian Williams, anchor and managing editor of NBC Nightly News, gushes over the “wholesomeness” of the Obama family, saying it’s “like a retro 1950s American family” on Jan. 5. He has also breathed a little life into that ancient broadcast genre known as the newsmagazine with his weekly television newsmagazine broadcast of Rock Centre.
Catch the Late Show With David Letterman from Tuesday to Saturday at 2 p.m. on TALKtv.
