Netizens now hooked on TODA Max

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - After Angel Locsin was launched as an official member of ABS-CBN’s TODA Max, the sitcom has become a trending topic on Twitter. Netizens in other social networking sites also talk about the actress’ flare for comedy.

Most of the comments say that Angel truly deserves to be Isabel Padausdos in the sitcom. Some even compared her beauty and talent to the lunar eclipse that occurred recently.

No wonder the Kapamilya comedy flagship sitcom remains No. 1. According to the data from Kantar Media, TODA Max garnered 20.4 percent TV rating, against its investigative program (15 percent) and drama anthology (4.2 percent) competitors from other TV networks.

TODA Max followed other top-rating Kapamilya programs such as Maalaala Mo Kaya (26.8 percent), Junior Master Chef Pinoy Edition (24.6 percent) and Wansapanataym (22.4 percent).

Meanwhile, tonight on TODA Max, Maimai (Kim Chiu) enters the scene. While Tol deliberately keeps his distance from his cousin Justin (Vhong Navarro) due to bad mood, he meets Maimai, who kisses him then collapses. That leaves Tol with no choice, but to take her home.

At first, Justin have reservations about Maimai’s stay in their house. But after the lady saved his overcooked dish, he hires her as cook for his eatery.

Isabel and Maimai, on the other hand, will compete with each other upon knowing that they’re both Binondo native. An exciting cooking showdown will surface. Who will be hailed as Miss Binondo Grill?

TODA Max airs after MMK.
