Ynstynk releases first album

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The pop band Ynstynk hopes to make a mark in the music scene with catchy and melodic sounds, smooth vocals and instinctive musicality.

The group, which is relatively new in the industry, wants to be known for its unique composition, having three of its seven members as frontliners and the others as back-up vocals, each playing musical instruments.

The band relies on mutual respect and understanding of each member’s musical individuality. To hone and showcase their songwriting talents, the group has recorded music for its first-ever album The Heart of Ynstynk, which was released last month.

To name a few, some of Ynstynk’s original compositions are You And Me Will Say I Do, Para Sa ‘Yo (Mahal Ko) and Awit Sa Paglisan.

The group takes inspiration from some local hitmakers like Freestyle, Side A and South Border. The foreign influences, on the other hand, are Boyz II Men, Michael Jackson, James Ingram, Stevie Wonder and Earth Wind and Fire.

Interestingly, the group is not only bound together by a shared love for music but its members are also related by blood. Majority of them are, in fact, cousins. Their passion for music is inherited from their parents and relatives who were part of music industry, too.

Ynstynk’s list of performances includes the Alabang Football Rugby Club event, the 2006 PBA conference, RJ TV’s Sweet Talk and IBC 13’s Chowtime.

The group also performed at the Metro Bar with 5th Gear and Kilig Sa Orig Anti-Piracy concert.
