Tessie Quintana in Sarah Soliente

- Danny Dolor -

In the late ’40s and ’50s, Tessie Quintana was one of LVN’s top leading ladies, usually paired with Armando Goyena.

When she freelanced in the ’60s, Tessie starred in several films for Premiere, including the title role in Sarah Soliente (1962), co-starring Romeo Vasquez, Mina Aragon and Eddie Rodriguez. With Van de Leon as guest star.

Tessie won the 1961 FAMAS Best Actress award for another Premiere movie, Alaala Kita, directed by Cesar Gallardo.

Tessie, one of local cinema’s most beautiful faces, died in 1969.  — RKC
