Dear Mr. President on Kahapon Lamang

MANILA, Philippines - A segment in Eddie Ilarde’s Kahapon Lamang radio program over DZBB called Dear Mr. President will be aired starting tomorrow, Nov. 26, and on Nov. 27 to give ordinary people an easy access to the president’s ears regarding complaints, suggestions and other matters which need government action.

“Common people who do not have computers to reach the President through his website, can now reach him through the radio,” former Sen. Ilarde said. “This can even be more effective because their grievances, suggestions and matters they want Pres. Noynoy to know are broadcast nationwide and even worldwide,” Ilarde added.

Kahapon Lamang program which is aired over DZBB 594khz on the AM band every Saturday and Sunday from 1:30 p.m. is the pioneer in public service through the medium of radio since the ’50s and has earned awards. Eddie, also a Lifetime Achievement awardee for radio and television, said “it is only fair that Pres. Noynoy Aquino be duly apprized and advised regarding matters that directly affect the people, and this time by the people themselves.”

Ilarde said he has requested Sec. Sonny Coloma to have his department monitor the program to relay to the President what the common people wish him to know.
