HawthoRNe season 3 premieres in Phl

MANILA, Philippines - A very pregnant Christina HawthoRNe (Jada Pinkett-Smith) prepares to walk down the aisle with Dr. Tom Wakefield (Michael Vartan) in the third season opener of HawthoRNe, a medical drama, which premieres in Asia tonight at 10:40 and airs every Friday night thereafter, exclusively on AXN Beyond.

Last season was particularly tough for Christina, nursing director at the Richmond Trinity Hospital. Her on-again and off-again relationship with Tom hit rocky times when a serious car accident left the latter with injuries that threatened to end his surgical career. Although they spent a night of passion together, Christina struggled to figure out if she was ready to commit to a relationship, sending Tom into the arms of another woman and fellow doctor. Christina also had her share of other romantic possibilities, including detective Nick Renata (Marc Anthony). 

The second season’s finale pushed everyone to the breaking point as a massive explosion at the hospital left one of Christina’s nurses severely injured and forced the evacuation of the entire facility. In the midst of the crisis, Christina revealed to Tom the shocking news of her pregnancy.

In HawthoRNe’s latest season, Christina and Tom’s happiness will be interrupted by a series of unfortunate incidents that will challenge Christina both physically and emotionally. At the same time, her former flame, Nick, returns and complicates things further when he is called in to investigate a brutal attack in the hospital’s parking deck. Meanwhile, Tom takes on a new protégé (guest star Derek Luke Antwone Fisher) who catches the eye of Christina’s daughter, Camille (Hannah Hodson).
