Ako Ang Simula takes a bold step for the youth

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - More and more youth today seem to be losing their ways just like teenagers in Barangay San Dionisio in Parañaque City where they engage themselves in drugs, pre-marital sex and even child exploitation.

There are more than 68,000 residents in the area but only one driven and committed woman is taking that bold step to change the way things go in her community  Patroller ng Pagbabago Doctor Dolores.

Not only is she a dedicated doctor in the community, she is also a mother to the members of Batang Laging Umiiwas sa Tiyak na Impeksyon or BALUTI, a youth-oriented group promoting youth welfare in the area.

Dolores and BALUTI have no other dream but to correct the ways of these young minds. But Dolores can only do so much given her resources and even BALUTI is facing problems of being shut down due to lack of funds.

Watch how one person can inspire change and transformation in her community on ABS-CBN’s Ako Ang Simula, today at 4 p.m. It is anchored by Karen Davila, Anthony Taberna and lawyer Pochoy Labog.
