Angel-Phil relationship gets better

More than friends Angel Locsin and Phil Younghusband deny that they have broken up. The duo reportedly went on separate ways when Phil went to Taiwan and Angel stayed in the country to attend to her own affairs. “Naghiwalay kami kasi pumunta siya sa Taiwan at naiwan ako dito. Pero magkasama naman kami sa thoughts and prayers. As much as possible we don’t talk about our personal lives in public. And I don’t see why should I answer a question like ‘hiwalay na ba kayo?,’” said Angel.

Angel made it clear though that she does not back off from controversies. “Pwede naman nila sabihin kung ano ang gusto nilang sabihin. Opinyon nila yon. Basta kami masaya.” Truth of the matter, Angel added their relationship is getting better every day. “Siguro naman more than friends naman kami.”

We are happy for Angel and Phil and for all who are in love.

Proudly Mama’s boy

One thing admirable about Gerald Anderson (photo) is his love for his Mommy Vangie. And as he takes on his role in the teleserye Budoy, he plays a role close to his heart. Gerald in the teleserye is loved and nurtured by two mothers, played by Zsa Zsa Padilla and Janice de Belen, the former looking for her long lost son and the latter, the adoptive mother.

“Gerald knows what he wants. Buo ang kanyang pagkatao,” Janice enthused. “Hindi na siya nag-search.”

Real-life mom Vangie said her relationship with his son is “hindi lang siguro bilang anak, kundi friend. Si Gerald din ang father of the family. Yon ang nakikita ko sa kanya. I’m very proud of him. Nagagampanan niya ang papel bilang ama sa loob ng pamamahay.”

Thrown into showbiz at an early age after winning the second place in the Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition season one, Gerald matured fast and easy. “Sa totoo lang, na surprise din ako kay Gerald. Nakita ko sa anak ko agad siya nag-mature. He is able to handle his life and that of his family.”

Mommy Vangie said that she could not ask for more. “This is already too much. Naibigay na niya lahat. Siguro it’s time for him to enjoy himself.”

It is heartwarming to know that one of the hottest boys in showbiz is proudly a mama’s boy.

Another 10 blissful years for Bea

Bea Alonzo (photo) celebrated her 10th year in showbiz and her 24th birthday via a party at The Establishment at The Fort recently. It was the first time for Bea to hold a showbiz birthday party. “It’s my 10th anniversary in the business. This celebration is also to give back to the people who have been part of my 10 years in showbiz. I am very happy they all came. I feel so loved.”

Bea credits rumored boyfriend Zanjoe Marudo for the success of her party. “Siya yong nag-handle ng invitations. Kasi he is so friendly at ako naman tahimik.”

Anytime now, Bea and Zanjoe would have flown to Korea for a much-needed vacation. And what does she want for her birthday? “Wala naman. Parang masyado na akong complete now,” to which Zanjoe butted in, “Oy okey yan ah.”

But does Zanjoe see Bea as the woman he will spend the rest of his life with? “Nasa kanya na lahat ang qualities ng babae na gusto mong ibahay.” Bea retorted, “Pahingi muna ng bahay.”

Zanjoe wished for Bea that all her dreams come true. “Alam ko na sa sampung taon mo sa showbiz, saka 24 ka pa lang marami ka ng na-achieve. Alam ko naman na lahat ng gusto mo nakukuha mo, kaya, kiss mo ako,” Zanjoe said smiling.

KC takes a break in Europe

Kristina or KC Concepcion (photo) to you is by now in Europe. KC left last week to find time for herself and to think things over. “Kailangan ko lang talaga ng oras for myself. Kailangan ko mag-isip talaga para mahanap ko ulit ang sarili ko. Siempre comfort zone ko ang Europe, all my childhood friends are there, at maganda na makakasama ko yong mga kaibigan ko at makapunta sa lugar na makakapagpasaya sa akin.”

While in Europe, she will be attending a friend’s wedding, then she will make a side trip to Paris. “I really need a few days to really breathe. Kailangan ko ng time na ito para makapag-isip at para mag ka-klaro ang utak ko,” she declared.
