Working flawlessly together
MANILA, Philippines - Flawless celebrates its 10th anniversary this year as a frontrunner in the beauty business with loyal patronage that cuts across class and gender. Established by CEO Rubby Sy on Dec. 8, 2001, Flawless has grown to provide Filipinos with cutting-edge skincare.
Fittingly so, the aesthetic center pays tribute to its endorsers — the stars who have generously partnered with them all throughout its 10-year existence.
Lorna Tolentino. When Flawless began in 2001, Lorna starred in two movies — Abakada Ina (Viva Films) for which she won a FAMAS Best Actress award and FAP Best Actress award, and Sugatang Puso (Regal Films). Ten years later, Lorna is still the same beautiful, iconic and ageless star, perfect for Flawless’ Nutraceuticals, a set of orally-ingested tablets that improve your health from the inside, making your skin flawless on the outside.
Richard Gutierrez. A few years ago, Rubby realized that guys are as excited and careful about their looks as women are. So she began the RG line — named after the “real gentleman” that is Richard Gutierrez. In 2001, Richard was just 17 years old, a fresh-faced young man in Click and other GMA shows. Today, his good looks have turned for the better — adult, sculptured and masculine. A strong environmental advocate, he also takes good care of his skin as he does Mother Nature.
Judy Ann Santos. One of Flawless’ best-loved endorsers, the 23-year-old was already adored by fans for her acting talent and down-to-earth attitude. That time, she had also released two music albums, and won the Box Office Queen award from the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation. A decade after, she is now a wife and mother of two. She remains an important endorser because, as Rubby says, “True beauty is when you’re flawless inside and out.”
Mark Herras. Mark headlines the dance-serye Time of My Life on GMA 7 and stars in the indie film Hitman (CM Productions) alongside Cesar Montano, Phillip Salvador and Ricky Davao. Mark still carries with him the same humble, likeable persona that endeared him to Flawless through these years.
Iza Calzado. Her admirable battle with obesity made her the perfect endorser for the wellness-inspired Shape & Sculpt services of Flawless. Iza is easily one of the country’s most competent actresses and she happily strikes an ideal balance between her work and her personal life.
Ai-Ai delas Alas. The Comedy Queen’s positive and humorous attitude to life has kept her heart light and happy — while the Flawless anti-aging product kits provide the exterior support for youthful good looks. “Salamat sa Flawless, people think I am so much younger than my actual age,” she said. She joked that because of this, she won’t mind ending up with a younger hunk. “Yun na ang bagay sa akin ngayon, di ba?”
Flawless’ endorsers each contribute to the credibility that is now enjoyed by the decade-old beauty clinic. The partnership extends to Yasmien Kurdi, comedians Jhong Hilario and Alyssa Alano, DJ Mojo Jojo of Magic 89.9 and showbiz media stalwart Butch Francisco.
Flawless’ 10-year journey is as colorful as the stars that represent it. Here’s to 10 more years of beauty and partnership.
