Reporter's Notebook turns 7 with a special

-

MANILA, Philippines - This month, GMA News and Public Affairs’ Reporter’s Notebook celebrates seven years of hard-hitting and award-winning stories.

For the anniversary special airing tonight after Saksi, hosts Jiggy Manicad and Maki Pulido travel across the country to check on the condition of some natural resources in the country. From privatized islands, balding mountains and exploited forests, Reporter’s Notebook’s Pilipinas for Sale? investigates the situation in declared protected areas.

Since its inception, Reporter’s Notebook has never wavered in its commitment to bring timely, relevant and significant reports to the public. As a result, the program has become one of the most internationally-awarded programs on Philippine television today.

It has earned recognition from international award-giving bodies like the New York Festivals, Asian Television Awards, United States International Film and Video Festival, Telly Awards and the UNICEF Child Rights Awards. This year, Reporter’s Notebook is the only TV program in the Philippines that qualified in the preliminaries of the prestigious Japan Prize.
