Joanna Ampil with Adam Pascal in musical concert The Real Love

MANILA, Philippines - Joanna Ampil portrays Supreme Master Ching Hai, a world-renown spiritual leader, humanitarian, best-selling author, poet and artist, in the 12-part musical concert The Real Love by Supreme Master Television. Now re-airing until Oct. 11, the show was originally broadcast live from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium last Aug. 27.

With Joanna on the show are Adam Pascal (left) who starred in Rent and Aida on Broadway. He is also in Memphis which is opening soon. Adam plays Ching Hai’s husband. Shirley Jones (center) plays Supreme Master’s mother-in-law.

The songs were based on Ching Hai’s poems which were set to music by composers Bill Conti, Al Kasha, Doug Katsaros, Don Pippin and David Shire. Other stars are Daisy Eagan, Cady Huffman and Robert Torti. It features songs and dances that range from tap to disco to Indian.

As guest performer, Don McLean performed some of his most famous hits including American Pie, Castles in the Air and Vincent.
