Sam Pinto and the Azkals for Netphone

MANILA, Philippines - Sam Pinto and members of the Philippine national soccer team the Azkals are the latest celebrities to get on the hot tech bandwagon, as they were recently introduced as endorsers of Netphone from Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart).

At the launch held at Resorts World Manila, Sam and Azkals Anton del Rosario, Jason Sabio, Ian Araneta and Nate Burkey announced the coming of the Netphone 701 — the first of many models in Smart’s own range of Android smartphones designed specifically for the Philippine market.

The Netphone launch, hosted by KC Montero and Andi Manzano, saw scores of people winning Netphone 701 units.

Among the celebrities spotted at the event were Tim Yap, Brent Javier, Nicole Anderson, Michelle Madrigal, Bubbles Paraiso, Diva Montelaba, Steven Silva, Jay-R, Kris Lawrence, Mark Herras and Wynwyn Marquez.

The Netphone 701 retails at P9,900 for a prepaid kit. It also comes free starting at All-In Plan P1,200, on all Data Unli Plans, and on Data Lite Plan P800.
