Mocha Girls a hit in Dubai

MANILA, Philippines - The Mocha Girls (composed of Mocha Uson, Mae dela Cerna, Yumi Ociman, Aura Balington and Franz Faisan) have just come back from a successful show (with South Border) at Shoppiesta, a consumer lifestyle exhibition organized by Citron and held at Meydan Dubai, that attracted Filipinos from all over the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The event was also graced by Arab artists (like Nancy Ajram), Bollywood stars and Hollywood stars (like Sean Paul, Kelly Roland of the former Destiny’s Child) and producer-rapper T-Pain.

The Mocha Girls were such a hit that before they left Dubai, they got an offer to do another show there exclusively for Filipinos, held at the Club 7 of the Park Regis Hotel. A repeat show is scheduled next January as part of the hotel’s anniversary special.

Back in Manila, the Mocha Girls are performing weekly in Mugen Metrowalk (Tuesdays), Bluewave Macapagal (Wednesdays), hard Rock Makati (Thursdays and Sundays) and Café Lupe (Saturdays).

The group has just has so far released three albums: A Taste Of Mocha (2006), Mocha (2007) and Deliciosa (2008).
