Life & Style presents food markets

MANILA, Philippines - We love food and on GMA News TV 11’s Life & Style With Gandang Ricky Reyes (LSWGRR) tomorrow, 11 a.m. mushrooming food markets in and out Metro Manila will be visited.

First, there were the weekend shopping places called tiangge and now food markets where delicacies and specialty dishes are vended. Such are found at the Quezon Memorial Circle Saturdays and Sundays.   

Host-producer Ricky Reyes samples and recommends Taniegra okoy, crispy crablets and Tuguegarao pancit as well as streetfood Kabayan mata ng baka, Japanese-inspired hotdogs, teriyaki, mushroom loco, cheese explosion, New Orleans’ Cajun, Taiwanese kyma and big better burger from the US.

He interviews celebrities who divulge their favorite dishes and where they go in search of exotic, healthy and palatable cuisines.

“After we partake a hearty meal, we crave for something sweet so we will take you to taste Machiavelli Chocolate Boutique’s offerings and Chef Tony’s fruit-flavored concoctions,” says Ricky with a sweet tooth.

For mothers who wish to serve their family with something new, a cooking demonstration at the Coconut House will be featured. Stay tuned to the famous resto’s own recipes of laing pizza, sherbet and coco pandesal.
