UE sets grand alumni homecoming on Oct. 1

MANILA, Philippines - Preparations are underway for the University of the East (UE) Alumni Grand Homecoming 2011. Slated at the UE Manila Main Lobby and Quadrangle on Oct. 1, the UE alumni gathering comes with the theme “Come and Join the Masquerade Ball, Unmask the Night,” a culminating event for the seven-day long festivities of UE’s 65th  Foundation Anniversary celebration that will kick off on Sept. 25.

The 2011 UE alumni Jubilarians are the graduates of 1951 (Diamond), 1956 (Emerald), 1961 (Gold), 1966 (Sapphire), 1971 (Ruby), 1976 (Coral), 1981 ( Pearl ) and 1986 (Silver). Exciting fun-filled evening activities in line with the theme, fab raffle prizes and delectable foods, drinks and entertainment show await the UE alumni attendees and guests. UE Graduate School Alumni Association president Dean Norberto “Bing” Rayupa is the overall chair for 2011 UE Alumni Grand Homecoming while the co-chair is UE Knights’ Antonio “Tony” Cua Jr. Lt. Col. Renato Chan is the current UE Alumni Association, Inc. (UEAAI) president.

Also part of the program is the launching of the 2012 UE Alumni Global Homecoming. The executive committee, chaired by Stradcom president and CEO Cezar Quiambao, has promised to come up with world-class presentations, grandest events, fellowship, symposium, food, drinks, friendly games, tours and entertainment shows on May 25 to 27 next year at the Marriott Hotel.
