New site, new hope for Childhaus

MANILA, Philippines - Today at 11 a.m. on GMA News TV 11, Life and Style with Gandang Ricky Reyes features the Children’s Health Intelligence Life Development House (Childhaus), which Ricky Reyes and some golden-hearted sponsors have fought for and supported.

The advocacy to provide a temporary shelter for kids undergoing treatment for cancer and other ailments started when Reyes tagged along a friend to visit the pediatric cancer patients at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) in 1998. 

While setting up a ward in PGH that he eventually called Munting Paraiso, Ricky had to beg for support from relatives, friends and associates.

On Aug. 8, the new Childhaus site will be inaugurated at Ofelia Village, Project 8, Quezon City, heralding new hopes for the beneficiaries.
