2011 Miss Bohol Sandugo chosen

MANILA, Philippines - Farrah Faye Mian (center) was named Miss Bohol Sandugo 2011 last Saturday, July 16, one of the highlights of the month-long celebration of the Sandugo Festival in the province of Bohol.

Mian, 5’6”, a part time model in Cebu is taking up medical technology at Velez College in Cebu City. She will be Bohol’s Ambassador of Goodwill.

Mian who represented the municipality of Tubigon was chosen from the 19 candidates who vied for the title. She also bagged the Miss Aldea Photogenic, Miss Talent and Miss Globe Telecom.

First runner-up (left) was Ely Rose Apple Angcon from the municipality of Loon. Second runner-up was Aimee Ann Anunciado (right) from the municipality of Catigbian.

Since it started in the ’50s (with different names like Miss Bohol, Miss Bohol Fiesta Islands, Miss Young Bohol and Miss Bohol Sandugo in 1989), the Miss Bohol has registered hundreds of contestants, including Anna Maris Igpit who was Miss Bohol Sandugo 2006 and later became Bb.
