An awesome weekend in Legazpi

MANILA, Philippines - After the celebration of the new, additional myDSL lines during Dumaguete’s Kabulacan Festival on May 7 and Butuan’s Balangay Festival on May 20, PLDT headed to Legazpi to celebrate the 4,000 new myDSL lines in Barangays Rawis, Rizal, Ilawod, Sagpon and F. Aquende Rd., and for the city’s 52nd annual Charter Day on June 12 with excitement and celebrities in town for everyone.

Brought to everyone in cooperation with Albay Rising, Mayor Geraldine Barameda Rosal and the City Tourism Office led by Jo Briones, santigwar.com and wowlegazpi.com, the event was dubbed Awesome Legazpi. The day began with a motorcade at 10 a.m. followed by a military charter parade at 1 p.m. which leads to the City Hall. At 3 p.m., event hosts Nathan J and Jimmy Muna got the crowd revved up for a car drifting exhibition with five-time Lateral Drift champ Alex Perez and Wonderboy of Drifting Gio Rodriguez at 4 p.m. on June 12 at the Plaza Peñarada. PLDT myDSL brand ambassador Rhian Ramos joined in the festivities.

Legazpi beauty queens charmed everyone. Seen at event were Patrixia Santos (Miss Bicolandia 2009); Marjorie Vista (Miss Governor’s Cup); Yvette Santiago (Miss University Philippines 2010); and Alessy Loren Cambare (Miss Tertiary Governer’s Cup).

Also participating were local bloggers Blair Villanueva of Legazpi Fab Moda; Jedalyn Pequena of I am Doll Parts; Rasa Grafika of Disenyo Loco; and photography clubs Byahero Snapshots, One Bicol Photography, Magayon Photographers, and Hijab Albayano Photography, Inc.
