The hazards of smoking

presents interesting and informative topics on smoking-related diseases.
The four episodes are timely as the MMDA launched the no-smoking policy campaign in all public places in Metro Manila.
Today, the show will feature a comprehensive episode titled Tama ng Yosi sa Baga! Generation Rx has a documentary-like episode that educates the televiewers about smoking and lung cancer. Guests are Dr. Idolor, head of the Respiratory Section of the Lung Center of the Philippines; Ma. Cristina Velasco, MMDA’s assistant general manager for planning; JC Intal, PBA player; Arnold Pascua, a surviving patient with emphysema and ordinary people who were caught and fined because of smoking in public places.
The next episode to be aired on July 30 will feature heart-related problems brought about by smoking. It will be followed by episodes on breathing and mouth problems on Aug. 13 and 27.
The episodes inform and warn the public about the hazardous effects of smoking to the body.
Generation Rx airs Saturdays at 7:30 a.m. on Studio 23.
