Keeping a family tradition going

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdog has just launched a new campaign starring Ryan Agoncillo, Judy Ann Santos and their daughter, Yohan, having a fun fashion montage from the ‘80s, ‘90s and the year 2000 and onwards while enjoying their favorite hotdog. The brand chose the husband and wife tandem plus their daughter because they embody the brand’s heritage message. Ryan and Juday loved the Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdog as kids and now even as adults. Their image as a family is also in sync with that of the brand’s: fun-loving, family-oriented, loves kids and crosses over all social classes.

When asked what made them say yes to endorsing the product, especially since this is their first endorsement as a family, Ryan and Juday both say that TJ Hotdogs are very much part of their growing up years. Juday fondly recalls, “‘Pag may hotdog, ibig sabihin mayroon kaming ginawa na mabuti or reward or may birthday. Yung lifestyle namin nung bata kami di talaga pag gusto mo andyan agad. We really waited for a special occasion to be able to eat hotdogs because we were scrimping on our expenses.”

Ryan, for his part, recounts, “I remember very well the Tender Juicy Hotdog as a kid because I used to watch the games of Purefoods vs. Ginebra at Ultra with my father. The Purefoods players — Alvin Patrimonio and Jerry Cordiñera — were my idols.”

Now that they are parents to Yohan and Lucho, they see to it that they impart good values, good memories and love for good food to their kids.
