Fun nights at The Oracle

MANILA, Philippines - As every workweek winds down, things start picking at O Bistro and Café on the fifth level of The Oracle Hotel and Residences, Katipunan Road’s newest landmark hotel that’s also fast becoming the area’s top dining and entertainment stop.

For the musically inclined, every Thursday evening at 7 p.m., O Bistro and Café becomes dials up the fun with live music covering a wide spectrum of genres, from pop to disco classics. Thursday’s Acoustic Nights also makes for prime opportunity to unleash your inner diva. For the open mic set, you can belt out the best anthems of your favorite musical acts  from Dionne Warwick to Destiny’s Child, Bruno Mars to Katy Perry  while a guitarist provides live musical accompaniment (and makes you sound even better).

A night of live music, whether you’re listening to it or making it yourself with your friends, is always much more fun with your drink of choice, and O Bistro and Café’s bar spread doesn’t lack for variety. Enjoy sumptuous bites of the house classics  Chicken Satay, Calamares, Buffalo Tenders  along with your favorite cocktail or beer.

If you’d rather be on your feet, O Bistro and Café’s Dance Friday is the perfect way cap to a busy week. For a minimal P500 cover charge, kick off the weekend inclusive of dinner (choices change every week) and iced tea. Last week guests enjoyed the mouth-watering “light” feast such as the Oracle Sampler  Mini Pork Honey Mustard, Asian Spring roll with Homemade Vinaigrette, Spaghetti Bolognese, Chicken Ala king on Melba Toast, or the Duo of Beer Battered Fish Fillet and Herbed Roasted Chicken with Panache of Vegetable and Mashed Potato  before slipping into your dancing shoes. By 7:30 p.m., the party lights come on and the music turns up, marking the official start of Dance Friday.
