Azkals enjoy champion's feast at CPK

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - How does a champion team celebrate sweet victory? The Azkals, fresh from a recent win over Bangladesh in the AFC Challenge Cup, enjoyed a delicious and healthy dinner at California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) in Glorietta. Led by skipper Aly Borromeo, the team was treated by CPK owner Jack Rodriguez to a generous serving of CPK specialties that are fit for champions.

Joining Aly were co-Azkals Anton del Rosario, Angel Guirado, Neil Etheridge, Simon Greatwich, Ray Jonsson, Yannick Tuazon, Emilio Caligdong and Christopher Camcam. The players feasted on CPK classics like Spinach Artichoke Dip, BBQ Chopped Salad, mouthwatering Sicilian Thin-Crust Pizza and The Works Pizza, delectable Garlic Cream Fettuccine, Kung Pao Spaghetti and a variety of refreshing cocktail drinks.

The activity was not just a treat for the football stars but also for CPK’s staff and diners, as the Azkals posed for photos and signed autographs.

CPK has always been passionate about sports development. “To date, CPK has been a major supporter of the International Little League Association of Manila (ILLAM), a charter of Little League Philippines which holds annual baseball competitions for the youth. We also sent our own team to compete in last year’s Cobra Ironman 70.3 Philippines in Camarines Sur and won silver,” says Jack.
