Foreign hip-hop group holds benefit show
MANILA, Philippines - A motley group of pure as well as mixed-blood Dutch youngstars called All Style Division, which was recently featured on ABS-CBN’s Showtime, held a benefit show at the Savemore Mall in Morong, Rizal last night.
The gig was aimed at raising funds for Bahay Aurora Orphanage in Baras, Rizal established by couple Arlene Santiago and Herke Smidstra, to support the management of the 45 kids who are housed at the center. This is in addition to the P12,000 winnings that they earned at Showtime were donated to the orphanage.
To add to their impressive social work, individual members of All Style Division went to Manila and paid for their own airfare.
All Style Division won first place at the first Mars World Championship Street Dance in Holland in 2008 and has since traveled all over the world for gigs.
The current group in Manila is composed of Noah, a Fil-Dutch; Mustafa, Rollegs and Andy, who are all Turks, with the latter having Indon-Dutch blood; JB, Indonesian Filipino and Sabina, a Yoguslav.
