Cosplayers Alodia & Ashley endorse F'g Freshgear

MANILA, Philippines - When teen retail brand F’g Freshgear selected its newest brand ambassadors, it was only natural that they tapped individuals who embody the hip and edgy vibe of the brand — cosplay sisters Alodia and Ashley Gosiengfiao.

“We are truly honored and excited to be part of the Freshgear family. We love their pieces as we are able to create different styles and looks by combining accessories and apparel from their collections,” says Alodia on their new partnership with F’g.

Cosplaying is a unique hobby that has caught the attention of many creative and expressive young people. Short for “costume play” and taken from the Japanese term kosupure, it is a type of performance art that features actors and actresses wearing costumes and accessories to epitomize popular characters — mostly from Japanese manga, anime, comic books and graphic novels, video games and fantasy movies.

With cosplay steadily increasing in popularity in the Philippines, both sisters believe that now is a perfect opportunity for Freshgear to tap into the craft. “I think that incorporating cosplay into everyday fashion is a great idea. Cosplay styles can actually make street fashion a lot more colorful,” Alodia says.
