Colt 45 is Pulp Summer Slam's official beer

Manila, Philippines - Colt 45 is the official beer of the country’s biggest and loudest rock festival — the Pulp Summer Slam: Resurrection — tomorrow, April 30, at the Amoranto Stadium, Quezon City.

Now on its 11th year, Pulp Summer Slam will deliver this year such legends as US bands Anthrax, Hellyeah and Death Angel alongside the Philippines’ hottest rock acts.

Take home memories of the great music of Pulp Summer Slam in a bottle, as Colt 45 launches a one-of-a-kind metal edition of its bottle emblazoned with Pulp Summer Slam XI and the tagline, “Rise Up, Be Heard.” The bottle is available in select bars and 7-11 stores nationwide.

Eleven crowns, to count the 11 years of Pulp Summer Slam, also gets you P50 off your Slam festival ticket. Redeem them at the Pulp office at 1601 Antel Global Corporate center, Doña Julia Vargas corner Meralco Ave., Ortigas Center, Pasig or at the Colt 45 Ticket Booth at the Amoranto Stadium tomorrow, April 30.

Rock lovers can also redeem their 11 crowns to enjoy hardcore tunes on the Colt 45 Lords of the Loud commemorative CD, featuring Skychurch, Alex in Wonderland, Piledriver, Intolerant, Badburn, Valley of Chrome, April Morning Skies, Cog and Switch.

Colt 45 just completed the first-ever nationwide search for the country’s top guitar talents in the Colt 45 Shred to Slam competition, which covered key cities in the country.

Emerging as the Philippines’ best shredder was Patrick Cruz, 22, of Novaliches, who romped off with P20,000. He was selected by a panel of guitar icons including Wally Gonzales of Juan de la Cruz, Francis Reyes of NU 107, Manuel Legarda of Wolfgang, Joey Dizon of Pulp Magazine, and Neil Gregorio of Warner Music Philippines.
