Kapuso stars grace Panaad Festival

MANILA, Philippines - Negros Occidental was treated to a spectacular Kapuso celebration as around 25,000 Kapusong Negrenses joined in the fun at the Panaad Festival’s Kapuso Night held last April 4 at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City.

Leading the celebration was Captain Barbell himself, Richard Gutierrez. Joining him are fellow Captain Barbell stars Lovi Poe, Isabel Oli, Michelle Madrigal and Jillian Ward.

Party Pilipinas’ Mark Herras electrified the crowd with his dance number.

Another highlight of this year’s Panaad was the Lin-Ay ng Negros Pageant 2011 held last April 8 at the Panaad Park and Stadium.

Winning the title was Ann Marie Malayo while Jessa Castelo was named as Miss Kapuso, as a special award from GMA being one of the sponsors of the pageant. The contestants were serenaded by I Heart You Pare star Marc Abaya.

Regarded as the Festival of Festivals, the Panaad Festival is a colorful and jubilant presentation of individual festivals of the 13 cities and 19 municipalities of Negros Occidental.
