Pasakalye at Aliwan Fiesta

MANILA, Philippines - Kyla, Mark Bautista, and Bugoy Drilon lead the roster of guests invited to provide the live musical entertainment for Manila Broadcasting Company’s Pasakalye today Kicking off this year’s Aliwan Fiesta celebrations. Joining them are Star Power winner Angeline Quinto, Sony Music’s latest heartthrob Mark Alain, and the sexy Go Girls, plus the inimitable radio DJs of 90.7 Love Radio and 101.1 YesFM. 

Various schools have been invited to form groups interpreting dance tunes currently enjoying airplay on MBC stations. At stake for the winners are P30,000 for the grand prize, P15,000 for second place, and P5,000 each as consolation prizes for those landing third to ninth place. 

Pasakalye leads into the pageant night for the Aliwan Fiesta’s Search for Festival Queen, taking place tomorrow, April 15, which will be hosted by TJ Manotoc and 101.1 Yes FM’s Christine Dera, with Side A frontman Joey Generoso providing musical numbers.

The Aliwan Fiesta grand parade on April 16 will be capped by glittering awarding ceremonies to be hosted by 90.7’s top-rating tandem Nicole Hyala and Chris Tsuper. Opening the show will be a rare reunion of Joey Ayala, Bayang Barrios and Cynthia Alexander with Bagong Lumad. Also adding to the program’s mass appeal will be entertainment numbers by popular teleserye star John Arcilla and master rapper Andrew E.

Supported by Smart Communications, Buscopan, Revicon, Biogesic, Propan, Dunkin’ Donuts, Alaska Milk, Wings Detergent, My Juiz, Dazz, Hanabishi, M. Lhuillier, Aqua Best, and the Atrium Hotel, Aliwan Fiesta’s main events will be held in front of the Aliw Theater on Sotto St. at the CCP Complex. Show starts at 6 p.m.
