Susan Roces in Debutante

Susan Roces, ‘The Face that Refreshes,’ wore an elegant gown by Pitoy Moreno in the 1962 Sampaguita movie Debutante. In real life, Susan celebrated her 18th birthday a few years back, but where her adoring public was concerned, the movie queen was the ‘Debutante of the Year.’

Supporting Susan in Debutante were Carmen Rosales, Oscar Moreno, Eddie Arenas, Daisy Romualdez and Romeo Vasquez, one of her favorite leading men inside and outside Sampagita.

Today, Susan remains active on television, topbilling TV5’s Babaeng Hampaslupa.         — RKC
