'The Voice' of TFC

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - After Martin Nievera, Lea Salonga, Gary Valenciano and Charice, the next world-renowned singer who serves as “The Voice” of this year’s station ID of The Filipino Channel (TFC) is no other than Jed Madela (photo).

Jed himself is a Global Filipino who brings honor to his country wherever his passion for singing leads him. He first made waves in 2003 when he won the Best Voice of Asia Male Singer of the Year in Kazakhstan. Not long after, he caught the western music industry’s attention at the World Championship of the Performing Arts (WCOPA) in Burbank, California. Jed got all the major awards, bested over 3,500 acts from 51 countries and became the 2005 Senior Grand Champion Performer of the World.

According to John-D Lazatin, the customer engagement head of TFC, “As we launch our new station identity, we look at ourselves from the eyes of our customers. To them, we are not just a channel and a provider of various services. Through the years, we have been a Kapamilya that help lead brighter, happier lives wherever they choose to prosper. TFC is a beacon of light that will always journey with the Filipino as he brings out his own light into the world for himself, his family and his community.”

Watch for the unveiling of Tayo ang TFC today on ASAP Rocks on ABS-CBN in the Philippines and TFC in other countries around the world.
