UP-Manila studes win PCGG tilt

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Kris Emmanuel Villongco (center), a 19-year-old BA Organizational Communications junior from UP-Manila, wrote and directed the short film-MTV that bagged the top prize in a contest held by the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG). The contest challenged college students to make an engaging short film about their take on good governance and the lessons of the 1986 EDSA People Power that can be learned by a generation that did not live through or participate in it.

Villongco’s team members were Rossa Victoria Mangahas Landingin, Jennifer Glenn Jansalin, Ruth Fay Audije, Carla Mia Yecla and Yna Adrielle Reyes. All are BA Organizational Communication students.

With Villongco at the awarding ceremonies were (from left) PCGG Commissioners Richard Amurao, Maita Chan-Gonzaga and Nelson Acebo and PCGG chairman Andres ‘Andy’ Bautista.
