PGT pilot week tops TV ratings

-

MANILA, Philippines - ABS-CBN’s Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) is last weekend’s most watched TV program. The nationwide talent-reality show hit a national rating of 29.5 percent last Saturday and 27.6 percent last Sunday based on data from Kantar Media/TNS. It also grabbed the fourth spot in the Top 20 programs for the whole month of February. Only on its first two days of airing, PGT already managed to get the people talking about the show, its acts, and other interesting sidelights that happened during the auditions. The country witnessed acts such as blind singer-pianist Jeremie Tampoy, Bukidnon State University Brass Band, tapdancing brothers Happy Feet, magician Rico Sanorjo, kid balladeer Brian Brady, all-gay contortionist group Larvae and dancing martial artists Rhythmic Illusions get through to the next round. Even hosts and judges created their own scenes — Luis Manzano bursting into tears over a performance, Freddie “FMG” Garcia giving away unexpected yes’s to some acts, and Ai-Ai Delas Alas’ newest baby for this season. PGT hosted by Luis and Billy Crawford airs Saturdays and Sundays at 8:45 p.m.
