MANILA, Philippines - The Lightman Group investigates the murder of a journalist and friend of Lightman’s who was killed while exposing a corrupt politician — a case that tests Lightman’s relationship with Reynolds and the FBI. Reynolds is shot during a field trip with Cal to a train station. Meanwhile, Emily’s newfound interest in dating makes her father uncomfortable.

Lie to Me is an American crime drama TV series that premiered in 2009. The series follows Dr. Cal Lightman (Tim Roth) and his colleagues at The Lightman Group, as they solve crimes using applied psychology by interpreting microexpressions (through the Facial Action Coding System) and body language.
