Mamma Mia! staged at UST

MANILA, Philippines - Experience romance and music as UST-Mediatrix presents a musical adaptation, Mamma Mia!

Mamma Mia! revolves around the story of 20-year-old Sophie Sheridan (Charis Antalan) who lives with her mother Donna (Monalisa Chuang) on the small Greek island Kalokairi where Donna runs a hotel called Villa Donna.

Sophie is planning to marry her fiancé Sky (Dennis Buckly) and wants her father to be prersent, but does not know who he is. After reading Donna’s diary from 20 years ago, she concludes he is one of these three men: Sam Carmichael (Dan Sandiko), Harry Bright (Nico Varona), or Bill Anderson (John Paul Ursal). Without telling her mother and fiancé, Sophie mails invitations to all three, and hopes to find out which is her father.

Mamma Mia! is a story based from the different songs popularized by ABBA. Songs like I Have a Dream, Money, Money, Money, Mamma Mia, Dancing Queen, SOS, The Winner Takes It All, Take a Chance on Me and Thank You For the Music are part of the musical.
