February shows on Disney Channel

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - It’s a fine February on Disney Channel with old-time favorites and premieres tackling the past and the present, and deep blue sea adventures.

Tune in from Feb. 7 to 11 and 14 to 18, from 6 to 7 p.m. to catch your favorite episodes and brand-new episodes of Phineas and Ferb. Also stay tuned throughout the hour to catch a special short-form series — Take Two with Phineas and Ferb — a brand-new talk show hosted by Phineas and Ferb. The mash-up show has already booked real-life celebrities like Taylor Swift and Jack Black.

History is made and legend comes to life as Avalon High takes place on Feb. 13, 7:30 p.m. Based on the novel by Meg Cabot, Avalon High follows the adventures of Allie, a new transfer student to Avalon High School. After attending one of her classes, Camelot 101, she is shocked to discover that her new classmates are reincarnations of King Arthur and his Court. The deeper Allie’s search for these interesting parallels between the past and present, the more she is certain that her school is a contemporary Camelot and it’s up to her to solve the mystery before the notorious traitor Mordred triumphs.

Then starting Feb. 14, 2:30 p.m., follow the deep blue sea adventures of Zig and Sharko. The story is about a pretty little mermaid perched on a rock in the deep blue sea, a starving hyena on the island next door, and between them, a peaceful lagoon. Well, not that peaceful because a shark living there is madly in love with the young mermaid. Zig, with the help of his sidekick crab buddy, Bernie, will do anything to get his paws on Marina, the mermaid.
