Meet 23-year-old pool cleaner Jimmy who is going nowhere in life. Partying every night, he still lives at home with his zany family made up of his Maw Maw (Cloris Leachman), his mother Virginia (Martha Plimpton) and his father Burt (Garret Dillahunt). His life takes a drastic turn after a chance romantic encounter with a wanted felon, Lucy (Bijou Philips). After a couple of months, Jimmy learns he is to be a father and is charged with raising their daughter Hope as Lucy is now in prison.
